The Livonia Area Preservation and Historical Society is excited to announce that we’ll be attending and hosting a booth at this year’s Antiques & Artisans Show at Genesee Country Village & Museum. Stop by to say hello, learn more about our work preserving local history, and explore one of the region’s best antique events while you’re there.

The 28th Annual Antiques & Artisans Show returns to Genesee Country Village & Museum this spring, bringing together regional antique dealers and local artisans for a day of treasure hunting and historic exploration.

What to Expect

Dealers from across the region will showcase everything from fine 19th-century antiques to 20th-century vintage finds. Whether you’re hunting for a statement piece, adding to an existing collection, or just love browsing through curated vintage goods, there’s something for everyone.

Beyond the antiques, local artisans will display handcrafted goods inspired by 19th-century trades. It’s a chance to see how traditional craftsmanship has evolved while still honoring historic techniques.

Explore the Historic Village

After shopping, visitors can wander through the Historic Village and meet costumed tradespeople demonstrating crafts the way they were practiced in the 19th-century Genesee Valley.

A highlight of the day is the Trolley Trades Tour, an exclusive guided tour through the village aboard a trolley. A knowledgeable interpreter leads guests through historic trades buildings, making it an accessible way to experience the museum. The tour departs at 1:30 p.m. from the admissions building trolley stop and is free for the first 25 guests.

Exclusive Preview Party

For those who want first dibs on the antiques, there’s an exclusive Preview Party on Friday, May 1st from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The evening includes live music, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and early access to hundreds of treasures before the general public arrives Saturday.

Preview Party ticket holders also get to be among the first to view the newest exhibit at the John L. Wehle Gallery. Plus, a Preview Party ticket includes free admission to the museum and the Antiques Show on Saturday.

Space is limited for the Preview Party. Tickets are available through the online ticket system.

Ticket Information

General admission tickets for the Saturday show will be available soon. GCV&M members receive free admission to the event.

Parking is free and plentiful. An ATM will be available in the Meeting Center Lounge for those who prefer to pay vendors in cash.
